Our Programs

Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide community based services to individuals recovering from severe mental illness and/or emotional disorders in the Midlands of South Carolina. This is accomplished through a variety of counseling, housing and financial management initiatives: 


MIRCI provides services through several program offerings including:

REPRESENTATIVE PAYEE PROGRAM (Financial management for individuals in need of assistance in managing social security disability benefits.)

SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM (Permanent housing program for individuals with mental illness, with on-site supportive and clinical services.)

BENEFITS ASSISTANCE (Provides assistance to individuals in applying for and maintaining disability benefits.)

HOMEBASE PROGRAM (Housing program for homeless individuals, unaccompanied youth and families with children who need intensive
therapeutic services.)

HOMELESS OUTREACH PROGRAM (Provides access to behavioral healthcare, referrals to shelter and housing providers.)

BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE, PSYCHIATRISTS and ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT (ACT) TEAM SERVICES (Provides intensive behavioral health care interventions and support services that are designed to assist individuals with severe and persistent mental illness live independently in the community.)

YOUTH DROP-IN CENTER (Youth Drop-in Center serves youth between the ages of 17-24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness by providing access to basic needs, behavioral healthcare, and referral to community partners for housing, medical, legal, education, and employment resources.)
